A lot of confusion. Confusion everywhere! Where you are at. How you got there. What you're doing. Why you feel the way you do. Just so much confusion!
It hasn't hit me yet that I'm really on my own. I've been on campus for a week now and I still think that I'm just visiting my sister.
Last Monday, the day after my mother and brother left, I started getting cold symptoms. And then UTI symptoms. I didn't know what to do at first, so I started to just pop Flintstone Sour Multi-vitamin Gummies, Advil, and Wal-zyr (the Walgreen's Zyrtac). On Tuesday, they UTI symptoms got worse. Of course at the time I didn't know that they were UTI symptoms until I Googled them. Trusty Google told me that I possibly had a UTI. But I decided that, that would make for a very awkward doctor's visit, so I waited. A very DUMB, DUMB, DUMB thing to do. Wednesday came even more pain. Enough to make me black out, feel like vomiting, and to make the appointment. If I would have known that all I was going to have to do was pee in a cup I would have gone a whole lot sooner. They gave me some pills that turned my pee a very unnatural neon orange, but also made going to the bathroom a simple task again! HOORAY!
Last week was a very lonely week. Sure, I was hanging out with my roommate, Chelsea, and her friends, but I'm the extra. They all have their little jokes and stories together that make one feel like an annoying little tag-a-long. Thus, making it very exciting for classes to start and awkward people just like me all stuck in a classroom together! I'm excited for the class after the initial syllabus handout day. I'm ready to meet potential friends!
I actually got to meet up once with an kindergarten friend! I haven't seen this girl in... ELEVEN YEARS. I was worried that hanging out with her would be awkward, but it was really fun! I had completely forgotten that she was there when my earring fell through my ear lobe. She saw my scar. Haha. Fun times. I hope that our schedules will allow us to do hangout a little bit more.
Who better to relieve my loneliness of my week other than Mr. James Levi Herron? Somebody I can actually rant to about anything and everything. We spent entirely too much money this weekend and need to recover from the emptiness of our bank accounts, but was entirely worth it. We bought decorations for my empty wall, printed out pictures, actually hung the decorations up on the wall, and still had time to go to the Science Spectrum! Playing at the Science Spectrum was by FAR the best part of the weekend! Levi and I like to play! :-)
This blog will hopefully be updated at least once a week, if not more, and will probably just be thoughts that come to me in the order that I type them. It is my substitute for not having friends yet, and I hope that once I make friends it will continue. :-) Hopefully.
About Me
- Kaitlyn
- I'm a freshman at Texas Tech. I'm studying to become a graphic designer. I am a Christian--a Catholic Christian. I love my family and friends. If your wondering why a lot of my posts have the tag 'Levi,' this is my boyfriend. He's a big part of my life, so you must get over me always talking about him ALL THE TIME. :-) I'm a pretty boring person. I like things to be simple. My favorite shirts are the $8 solid color v-necks from Target paired with some jeans. I may add in a colorful scarf from time to time, but for the most part that's my outfit. I keep it simple.
