I think I'm finally getting used to college. Even starting to enjoy it a little bit more. FINALLY!
I always knew that college would be different than high school. I mean, HELLO?! You are on your own now! You can choose when your classes are... kind of. Friends help a lot though. You absolutely have to have some sort of friendship in the experience. I really do like my roommate. We get along better than a lot of the stories I have heard other people mention about their roommates. And I have been hanging out with Shelbey and Lauren a lot more. Shelbey and I went to the last home game last weekend. When she randomly turned to me and asked if I could still touch my tongue to my nose. Which I can, but it was just so funny.
Last night Shelbey called me saying that there was a big hail storm coming and that her and Lauren were going to Shelbey's dad's house to park their cars in his garage and hang out there until the storm passed. So, I went and parked my car in the parking garage on campus, illegally (but didn't get a ticket), then met them in the lobby of their dorm. We were doing homework there... up until I saw the kindergarten school picture of Shelbey on the mantel. We then proceeded to watch our Kids Inc., basketball games for the next hour or so. We were studs. We tore up that basketball court! (We may or may not have been the worst team to play in that league...) Anyways, after this, we started homework again... but then Lauren discovered PhotoBooth on Shelbey's Mac...
And then we decided that we needed Starbucks... And then decided that we should see what was up with everyone liking Jersey Shore... Then it was 2:30, and we had 8 o'clock classes and decided it was time to go back to the dorms.
Needless to say, we had a lot of fun last night, and I'm happy to have people to hang out with now.
BUT I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT MY THREE BEST FRIENDS FROM HOME.
:-)
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
(One of those friends should be writing her essays instead of reading this blog right now.)
